International conference Electron Microscopy of Nanostructures, ELMINA 2018, 27-29 August 2018 - Belgrad

On August 27 - 29, 2018, an international conference entitled Electron Microscopy of Nanostructures, ELMINA 2018, will be organized in Belgrade, Serbia. The conference will be focused on electron microscopy methods applied to nanoscience and nanotechnology (physics, chemistry, materials science, earth and life sciences).

Romanian Electron Microscopy Society National Conference

The 2nd edition of the Romanian Electron Microscopy Society National Conference, with international participation will be held at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (Central Library), on June 23-24, 2016.

Similar to last year, the conference will be organized in three areas:

1. Electron microscopy in Life Sciences
2. Electron microscopy in Materials Science
3. Equipment and technology for electron microscopy

Under Sections 1 and 2, participants will have the opportunity to present, in the form of oral and/or poster presentations, original scientific results based on the use of microscopy in the life sciences and materials science.

Under Section 3, representatives of the companies producing specialized equipment, and representatives of the participating institutions will have the opportunity to present equipment and high-end devices in the field of electron microscopy.

Paper submission: the participants have the possibility to publish their work into a special number in the paper Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry http://biointerfaceresearch.com/. The special number will publish between 10 to 20 papers.

During the 2nd edition of REMS Conference, a Microscopy Image Contest will be held, addressed to all student researchers passionate about Electron Microscopy. Cryo-electron microscopy workshop and hands-on session will be organized by Victor Babes National Institute of Pathology Bucharest and Leica Microsysteme on June, 22nd, 2016. The number of participants is limited to 10.
